  1. Michelle H. –

We homeschool and writing has not been our strong suit over here. My kids are very reluctant writers, but I wanted to try something different with them to see if it would help. This activity was perfect. We did the October one and each of us wrote a different story. It was fun to see what each of us would roll and how what story we would come up with. I cannot wait to continue doing these each month.

  2. Stephanie Beduhn –

My students have really enjoyed the fall write a story activities! I am excited to continue using this throughout the season!

  3. Ellen H. –

My students love these. It is part of our centers and they adore getting to write a story from what they randomly roll. For my higher writers it challenges them to write about something(s) that they maybe would not have picked for themselves typically and for my reluctant writers it gives them a creative starting point with enough details to really help them.

  4. Holly Goodrich –

This was just what I needed for my classroom. Students enjoyed this.

  5. Katey A. –

I use this as an early finisher choice in my writing station. My students love most of the ideas on the cards, but I’ve noticed some of the lower students don’t always have the background knowledge they may need for some of the choices.

  6. CMP –

My second graders love this resource and cannot wait each month to write their story!! They get really excited to roll the dice and see what they are going to write about. It also gives them a starting point which is very helpful for students that do not know where to start!
