Great digital resource!

My students enjoyed reading the quotes and coloring when they were waiting for classmates to arrive or finish breakfast. After they were finished, and the papers sat for 3 days (our protocol during Covid) I was able to hang them in page protectors (so they aren’t destroyed by the fogging disinfectant). It helped make our classroom more colorful and they took ownership to our room!

This worked perfectly for exposing my ELLs to important and influential Latin(x)/Hispanic people. For example, my students were surprised to learn Pablo Picasso was Spanish!! I took the banners and stretched it out into a whole unit. Thank you for providing the “hook” to reel in my students to and important part of their culture (my students are from Central America).
