I have compiled a set of 25 mentor texts to use to create this packet. This is perfect for students in third grade, fourth and fifth grade.

I love the idea of mentor sentences and have found some to be too complicated. These are simpler in organization but yet focus on great writing skills that my struggling learners need. I am doing these prior to your photo writing activities and then revisiting this as they draft and then edit/revise, encouraging students to incorporate what they learned from the mentor sentence activity into their writing.
