This project was well organized and thought through–even including 3 websites to look to for research. I appreciated the number of famous Americans. I do wish there were more women included–most of my girls would have preferred a female. There were less than 5 provided. The pennants are very attractive and nicely laid out I did feel that the main point at the top: “They were famous for…” was too similar to their “Life/legacy” section at the bottom of the pennant.

Probably my favorite project to do with my students when it comes to our American Revolution unit. We hung them up on the bulletin board to show others what we learned and so they too can learn about important people during the American Revolution. Thank you for this resource!

My students very much enjoyed this activity. They were very engaged, and it was fun to hear them talking about their person and excited about what they learned about them by doing this project. I can’t wait to do it again next year.

Amazing resource! This allowed my students to work collaboratively to research people who were important in the American Revolution. After researching, students wrote a summary focusing on the life and contributions of the person on the back. Pennants were hung in our hallways for Open House and got a lot of praise!
