PREFIX AND SUFFIX OF THE WEEK: This activity is what we used weekly to introduce a new prefix and suffix. You can enoriginal the poster or print 2 to a page for students to keep in notebooks.
- Students will write the meaning of the prefix and suffix (reference sheet if needed)
- Students will write 3 words using the prefix and suffix. I would have students use dictionaries to find meanings if they do not know the meanings. Then, students will write 3 sentences using the prefix and suffix.
- Students will find other prefix and suffixes in their books to list on chart
- Lastly students will illustrate one of the related words.
