I like to teach my students about different holidays, but I find this one can be difficult due to the heavy subject matter. I prefer to focus on the ways people came together to help each other during the tragic event, and this resource works well for that. I have students read an article about 9/11, watch some videos about people like the Man in the Red Bandana, and fill out this pennant to hang on the wall.
