My students had a sub (different one every day) the first 7 weeks of school before I was hired, needless to say their tests were awful as was the first ones we took after I had been there a few weeks. I was able to teach the Unit we just finished from start to finish and I used these handouts daily as we talked about each event in the road to revolution, my students including my ELs did amazing, they brought tests up an average of 25 points some even more. These were easy for them to read and understand, they provided facts needed to meet TEKS. I highly recommend these.
